Angelique is a registered nurse with over 20 years of clinical experience. Graduating with a BSN from UMass, Amherst in 2003, Angelique spent the majority of her nursing career working in the specialties of oncology and hospice, with hospice holding a particularly special place in her heart. Most recently, she has worked in mental health and feels particularly drawn to helping those who are struggling with their mental and emotional well being.
She always felt there was a ‘missing piece’ to the current healthcare paradigm, and upon discovering Chinese Medicine, her journey to find the missing piece began. She enrolled at the New England School of Acupuncture in 2021 and graduated with a Masters in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in 2024. At NESA she was honored with “The Compassionate Healer Award” for “high level clinical skill in addition to creating a safe, sure and trusting environment for patients”. She was also chosen for the “Earth Element Award” for embodying the qualities of being “nurturing, centered, stable, hardworking, advocate and creative”. She believes there is space for all medicine, Eastern and Western; that it should not be an ‘either/or’ decision for the patient, but a ‘both/and’ based on what each individual needs to have the best quality of life.
Angelique practices both Traditional Chinese and Sa’am styles of acupuncture. She is currently completing her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine at Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts as well as White Pine Institute’s Graduate Mentorship Program in Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine.
